Help Stop the Spread

Keep in mind the CDC Guidelines to decrease the risk of COVID-19 exposure. Basic protective measures include:

  • Continue to social distance by keeping about 6 feet between yourself and others. It may be necessary for care providers to be closer than 6 feet in order to conduct examinations
  • Wear a cloth face cover when around others
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow or a tissue
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • If you develop any symptoms, call your healthcare provider for medical advice

Patients and visitors entering the Surgical Institute of South Dakota will see these extra measures of safety:

  • Spacing stickers on the floors at registration areas.
  • Distance between waiting room chairs.
  • Streamlined processes at registration to result in shorter visits to a facility.
  • Face masks worn by staff and other protective equipment as needed.
  • Hand sanitizer available in all areas.
  • Industrial-grade cleaning practices in all areas.

The Surgical Institute appreciates all you do to help stop the spread!
