Michael J. Brozik, MD

Credentials

Dr. Michael Brozik received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He completed a residency in General Surgery as well as a Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Brozik is Board Certified in General Surgery and Board Certified in Surgical Critical Care.

Professional Memberships

Dr. Brozik is an active member and Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). He is also a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the South Dakota State Medical Association (SDSMA), the Frederick A. Coller Surgical Society, and the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST).

Teaching Experience

Dr. Brozik holds an academic appointment from the University of South Dakota as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery and is active in the education of medical students. Dr. Brozik is also an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Instructor providing trauma education to medical professionals across the state of South Dakota.

Special Interests

Dr. Brozik has interest in all areas of minimally invasive general surgery including utilizing robotic assisted surgical techniques. He has special interest in treating patients in a critical care environment.
