Dr. Jesse Guardado received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. He completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center with two dedicated years of clinical research. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Guardado is Board Certified and also Board Certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
Dr. Guardado is active member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery ASCRS, and also the American College of Surgeons ACS.
Dr. Guardado has interest in all areas of colon and rectal surgery.
He has special interests and training in the surgical treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the colon, rectum, anus. These include but are not limited to Inflammatory Bowel Disease, rectal cancer, colon cancer, hemorrhoidal disease, pilonidal disease and pelvic floor dysfunction. He employs advanced robotic and laparoscopic techniques in addition to enhanced recovery protocols to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Guardado enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is very active outdoors and enjoys running and biking.
